Barbara Silverstone is the Executive Director of NOSSCR. From 1992 – 2013 she was the Staff Attorney at NOSSCR. She received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City and her B.A. from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania. She is admitted to practice in the state of New York, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the state and district courts of New Jersey, and the U.S. Supreme Court. She is a frequent speaker at NOSSCR conferences and at other Social Security seminars, as well as at conferences for family members concerned about specific medical conditions. She has written several chapters in Matthew Bender’s Social Security Practice Guide and numerous articles on Social Security disability. She serves on the boards of the Social Security Section and the SDNY Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

Stacy Cloyd is NOSSCR’s Director of Policy and Administrative Advocacy. In her role at NOSSCR, Cloyd advocates for laws, regulations, policies, and public perceptions that preserve and strengthen Social Security. Prior to working at NOSSCR, Ms. Cloyd was an attorney at Bread for the City, a nonprofit legal clinic in Washington, DC. She also served as the senior domestic policy analyst at Bread for the World Institute, an anti-hunger and anti-poverty advocacy organization. Ms. Cloyd graduated from Smith College and received her law degree and a Master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Michigan.

Lea Robbins currently serves as the staff attorney for the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR), where her primary role is to assist NOSSCR members in their ability to represent claimants for Social Security disability and SSI benefits. Prior to joining NOSSCR in July 2016, Ms. Ko worked for a private law firm representing Social Security claimants out of Richmond, Virginia since graduating from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2013. During her last year of law school, Ms. Ko also worked as a Social Security brief writer, drafting pre-hearing briefs on claimants’ behalf.

Michael was the Deputy Director of Congressional and Political Affairs at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychology, where he has been since 2011. There he managed their Congressional government affairs efforts and the activities of their PAC. Prior to that he had several positions at the National Association of Home Builders, including 3 years as their Government Affairs Manager. He worked in the office of Deborah Wasserman-Schultz, as well as for some state and local campaigns. He has experience both working with Congress and with managing a PAC and also has worked with membership organizations so has organized Hill days and understands managing members’ needs as well.
