5 Tips for Getting the Most Out of the Genius Blogger’s Toolkit

That’s a LOT of content. You and I both know that you’re not going to dig into ALL of those resources at once (unless you’re Leslie Knope), but this is an incredible library that you can get access to now and be able to use and implement over the next few months to a year. PAST RESULTS + WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS YEAR

In 2018, I went through Jessie on a Journey’s “How to Work With Brands” course and felt it worth the bundle price alone. I’ve enrolled in several of her courses, and I have to say that they are packed with quality content that is worth paying for–from email scripts to case studies and interviews to cheat sheets, plus all the lessons and real life examples from Jessie.

From her course on landing paying gigs with DMOs/CVBs (“How to Land Paid Press Trips as a Travel Blogger” — not part of past bundles but one that she offers), I landed an assignment for over $2,000. Full disclosure: I wasn’t a brand new blogger at the time, I had some background in the content she was teaching, and I leveraged the photography skills I had to sell a package of deliverables that the DMO could use in their marketing. But it was my first paid gig in this capacity, and the step-by-step guidance (setting prices!), email scripts, and support in the Facebook group helped me feel really confident in sealing the deal.

Another course I enjoyed in 2018 was Holiday Blogger Bootcamp with Caroline Vencil, which was all about creating gift guides. While I didn’t go all out with this course or strategy, I did create a couple of posts that more than paid for the price of the bundle, earning $216.18 over the year (just from these two posts). That’s nothing crazy, but this was a pretty simple and fun course–and it demonstrates that you can invest your time strategically in these courses to recoup the cost of the bundle and continue earning on autopilot.

There’s a similar course in the 2020 bundle called Holiday Spike by Emma Quay, which looks pretty good if you’re interested in strategies to leverage the upcoming holiday traffic.

Another course in the 2020 bundle that I think is interesting is Truly Evergreen Newsletters, where Victoria Pruett teaches you how to set up evergreen newsletters that are (mostly) set-it-and-forget-it. She walks through the steps of doing this in various email clients. This is a strategy I hadn’t heard of or considered before, and it’s definitely one I’ll consider.

I also looked through Pinterest Marketing 101, which for me is a review of basic information I’m familiar with. But I thought it was well-done for someone just getting started, and has some free pin templates that would be useful. And I found value in the Viral Pin Formula eBook included in the course, where Angie walks through detailed aspects of pin design and copy, including how she has tested various elements.

For anyone established, Video Pin Starter Kit might be a good option for really digging into video pins. I especially found the lesson on the top 10 styles of video pins helpful in brainstorming different ideas outside of what I’ve been doing.

One of the things I find especially helpful each year is having some legal templates and courses included, and this year is no exception with 3 resources included.
