Week 1 (Feb 3 – 90 minutes) – The Functional Foot

This week kicks off with key concepts of foot function from an integrated perspective. Get those questions answered as it relates to the difference between mid foot vs. rear foot pronation and forefoot vs. toe splay. Learn techniques to improve both ankle plantar and dorsiflexion.

Week 2 (Feb 10 – 90 minutes) – The Forefoot

Juvenile hallux valgus, rigid hammertoes, crossover 2nd, neuromas and sesamoiditis – all hot topics as it relates to feet, function and footwear. Surgery vs. therapy, which is best for each condition? Understand the dual perspectives for when these forefoot imbalances become chronic.

Week 3 (Feb 17 – 90 minutes) – The Midfoot

Week 3 continues up the foot as we enter the area of the longitudinal arches. We have posterior tibial function to the medial side and peroneal function to the lateral. Expand your understanding of the 4 stages of PTTD, top of foot pain, cuboid syndrome plus more!

Week 4 (Feb 24 – 90 minutes) – The Rearfoot

We wrap up this series with the most commonly presented imbalances of the foot and ankle – plantar fasciosis, Achilles tendinopathy and chronic ankle instability. Learn the role of correct exercise and when Conley decides to refer to Splichal for regenerative medicine or surgical consideration.

All 4 parts of this series will bring you the unique perspective of each Dr and empower you, the listener, to better understand what to do in these more complex chronic cases.
