Welcome to my web site. I’m Larry Williams, and I Really Trade (unlike most educators).

Many people struggle with being successful stock, futures and commodity traders. I am here to share with you my 50 years of experience. My goal is to help you overcome the problems between you and success.

I don’t think you will find any other educators with more real trading experience. After being a commodities and stock trader for more than 50 years… I’ve developed my personal approaches to the markets. I use my own tools.

I have been an educator for just about as long as I’ve been a trader. My degree is in Journalism from the University of Oregon.

Because I Really Trade, at times hundreds of futures contracts in a week, I understand what you are going through.

I’ve been there myself. I can relate to you as a short term trader, a long term trader, a day trader, a Forex trader, a swing trader, etc. – I’ve traded them all.

Most of the so called hot shots today were not even born when I began… I’m still here, still trading the markets.

If you are new to the world of trading…

First, let me welcome you to futures trading and tip my hat to you venturing where most people are afraid to go!  The world of trading futures is a strange one with many myths about instant wealth, and losses.  There is a great deal to learn.

Futures and commodities are not like stocks. We don’t have shares, we have futures contracts… We can control $100,000 of a commodity for as little as $3,000, without any interest charges on the $97,000 by using leverage. But, with leverage comes additional risks. That knife cuts both ways. Commissions are low and commodities are real. They go up and down because people must have wheat, corn, gold, crude oil, etc.  There are no Stock market “Enron Games” played here.

Google my name. You’ll find lots of people wanting to teach to you trade futures and commodities like me or claim they trade like me. Lots of people with lots of claims.

A quick tour of the net will expose you to many offers of instant wealth and easy money.  I’ll be the first to tell you it is just not that way. Don’t fall for the hype. Like any other profession or business it takes knowledge and skill to do well. I can teach you how to trade. I can teach you the trading skills and techniques you need. I don’t just give you the trading tool box, I give you the trading tools as well, as my students will tell you.

I think there are 3 steps for a person new to futures and commodities trading.

1) Learn the basics of how to trade, Can you tell if a futures market is ready for a big move? My course answers this, showing you my approach to position.  No day trading here; you can have a job and still do this spending maybe 30 minutes a day.  This is what most people should be doing.

2) Swing trading. No day trading yet. Look to get in and out of a trade in 3 to 5 days. But, I caution you, this is not where you begin. You need to know, and have traded, the basics first.

3) Short term trading.  OK, you want to day trade? This is the final step — but I will tell you it is the hardest, the most difficult, and the riskiest way to trade.  It is the dream of so many, to day trade, but it is usually a nightmare.  I don’t think you are ready for day trading until you have been trading for at least a year or more.

When I teach people how to day trade I put my own hard cash at risk, so you can really see how it works. I have traded $1,000,000 in front of students and gave them back 20% of the profits. Day trading is not for most people. All the Forex and day trading stories that you have read about (making fortunes) are hustles. Please be very careful; use your common sense. Trading stocks, futures or Forex is very risky please read the disclaimers we have posted all over this site.

If you have already begun to trade futures and commodities…

If you are not yet making money, what do you do? Go back to the basics! My bet is that you have not learned what moves markets… you have looked at charts and indicators, but those things (Technical Analysis) by and large are mumbo-jumbo, which is why you are not making money.  Just because you have been trading futures and commodities does not mean you know what is really going on.
