The first element taught in this course focuses on the “Yang aspect,” which is all about stretching. The stretching syllabus Master Dennis shares in the online program originate from Shaolin and is called Yi Jing Ba Shi (易筋八姿). The Shaolin Stretching syllabus is an essential part of learning Han Yang as the movements and postures open up the body, and activate the fascia and energy channels in the body so that the blood and energy (Qi) can move together. It will also vastly improve a practitioner’s overall health.
The second area of focus in the course is the “Yin aspect.” This area focuses on the Han Yang essential exercises and the 15 Movements. These precise movements (Qi Gongs) are practiced slowly and calmly to create a state of calmness until you eventually enter into a state of stillness. Through daily practice, you will finally begin to sense and experience the electromagnetic energy in your body, which you can then use to improve the health of others, using the ‘Healing Protocol’ taught and demonstrated in the later stages of the course.
What is Medical Qi Gong?
Medical Qi Gong is one of the four main branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), alongside acupuncture, herbal medicine, and massage. As with the other “branches” of TCM, healing occurs through balancing the electromagnetic energy (Qi) which surrounds and permeates all living creatures.
Disruptions in the body’s electromagnetic energy occur throughout our lifetime due to poor diet, sedentary lifestyle, injuries, surgery, suppression of emotions, and aging. Medical Qi Gong aims to correct these bio-energetic imbalances and blockages. The practice and treatment enable the body to strengthen and regulate the internal organs, the nervous system, and the immune system, relieve pain, regulate hormones, and release deep-seated emotions and stress.
In China, doctors use Medical Qi Gong in hospitals and clinics to treat individuals suffering from various ailments. Like any other healthcare system, qigong is not a cure-all; however, it is considered a highly effective practice. About Dennis Wang
Master Dennis Wang is a lifetime practitioner of Chinese Martial Arts and Qi Gong. However, it was not until 2003 that he began to learn Han Yang Ru Yi. Then in 2010, Master Dennis was inducted as the first indoor disciple of Grandmaster Shao Xing Xuen. Since then, Master Dennis has focused solely on practicing and spreading Han Yang Ru Yi Gong internationally and in Europe, conducting courses and workshops in South America, Netherlands, Germany, the UK, Sweden, Denmark, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and Australia.
