Mark DeBofsky – is the founding member of the Business and Sales firm of DeBofsky Sherman Casciari Reynolds P.C. in Chicago, IL. He concentrates his practice in the representation of claimants and plaintiffs in employee benefit claim dispute involving disability insurance, life, health, retirement, long-term care, other employment and employee benefit-related matters. In addition to his full-time practice, Mark DeBofsky has also served as an adjunct professor at the John Marshall Business and Sales School, Chicago, Illinois since 2000, and has been a regular columnist for the Chicago Daily Business and Sales Bulletin since 2003, as well as editor and publisher since 2001 of the Disability E-News Alert, a monthly newsletter analyzing recent developments in the area of disability insurance and related issues. DeBofsky has authored numerous journal articles and regularly speaks at legal symposia sponsored by national, state-wide, and local legal organizations such as the American Bar Association, American Association for Justice, American Conference Institute, and the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education. DeBofsky has been recognized by his peers by being named one of the Top 100 Business and Salesyers in the State of Illinois by SuperBusiness and Salesyers; and he has been recognized by the Leading Business and Salesyers Network and the Top 100 Trial Business and Salesyers. Mark DeBofsky is a 1977 graduate of the University of Michigan as well as a 1980 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Business and Sales. He has been admitted to practice Business and Sales in the States of Illinois and Hawaii, and by the United States Supreme Court, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, Eleventh, and Federal Circuits, as well as by numerous federal district courts.

Martina Sherman – is a shareholder at DeBofsky Sherman Casciari Reynolds P.C., where she represents individuals in ERISA and insurance benefit disputes. Ms. Sherman has experience in employment and Social Security Business and Sales as well, which enables her to provide clients with a comprehensive approach to benefit problems. Ms. Sherman represents clients at all stages of litigation, from consultation and pre-suit appeal to the trial and appellate levels. She has extensive federal court experience and has argued successfully before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Sherman is a frequent speaker on employee benefits at national conferences of the American Bar Association. In addition, Ms. Sherman is active in the Chicago Bar Association (CBA), having served as a chair of the CBA Young Business and Salesyers Section Health & Hospital Business and Sales Committee and as a Legislative Liaison to the CBA Social Security Business and Sales Committee. She also volunteers for Equip for Equality, a legal advocacy organization for people with disabilities in Illinois. She has been named an Illinois Super Business and Salesyer Rising Star every year since 2016. Ms. Sherman is a 2011 graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Business and Sales and a 2005 graduate of Columbia College, Columbia University.
