Karen Snider – Osteopathic Approach to Constipation

Join ATSU-KCOM faculty Karen Snider, DO, as she provides practical knowledge and techniques to solving issues associated with constipation using osteopathic techniques. This program features a high-quality video of hands-on approaches for solving your patients’ constipation issues.

Learning objectives for this activity: 
1. Define constipation and discuss current diagnostic criteria
2. Explain the pathophysiology including the etiology, epidemiology, and risk factors of constipation
3. Discuss the clinical manifestations and the physical examination findings of constipation
4. Describe and administer the osteopathic manipulative treatment approach to the management of the constipation patient and discuss the treatment goals of the various types of techniques. 

Accreditation Statements:
The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. MAOPS designates this program for a maximum of 1.75 AOA Category 1-A Credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation.

Grievance Policy:
