• Better identify patients at risk of labor or sex trafficking.
• Use human trafficking screens to assess the risk of exploitation.
• Apply trauma-informed, rights-based strategies when working with vulnerable patients.
• Work with trafficked patients to determines future safety and health needs.
The Georgia Osteopathic Medical Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.
Grievance Policy:
All grievances should be in writing and should specify the nature of the grievance. Initially, all grievances should be directed to GOMA’s Executive Director, who will then forward said grievance to the CME Planning Committee. All grievances will receive an initial response in writing within 30 days of receipt. If the participant does not receive a satisfactory response, then they can then submit a complaint in writing to the Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the AOA at 142 East Ontario Street, Chicago, IL 60611.

Jordan Greenbaum, M.D., works at the Institute on Healthcare and Human Trafficking at the SVB Center for Safe & Healthy Children, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Dr. Greenbaum is a child abuse physician in Atlanta, GA. She has worked in the field of child maltreatment for over 20 years. She is the medical director of the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children and the medical director of the Institute on Healthcare and Human Trafficking at the Stephanie Blank Center for Safe and Healthy Children at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She co-chairs the Education/Training committee for HEAL Trafficking, an organization of medical professionals working on human trafficking issues.
