You see, he wanted to look like the guys in the magazines so he just did whatever the latest issue said..I was growing and looking better so I told Joe about some books I bought or articles that I read and told him that he should listen to these muscle building agents. After all it seemed like their only mission was to help people add muscle.Now you’re probably pretty familiar with all of these muscle experts. You’ve heard about them for one reason, they know more about building muscle then anyone.But I’m not talking about any of the “usual suspects” of muscle building information. If you’re anything like me you hate that the enormous knowledge of these experts is wasted….Wasted on the general training information that forces them to speak to people who rarely (at best) step foot into the gym. You cringe every time you see another marketer turned trainer giving muscle building advice that is the same boring, played out, old information.Getting these experts to open up and to share their secrets is a big challenge. And persuading them to do it ON TAPE – well that’s another story…Now since I’m on the “inside” of the muscle building world – I’ve been able to meet many of these muscle “agents” at private seminars, contests and closed door meetings. We’ve usually exchange muscle building information by late night phone calls and text messages. There’s even information that we promise not to write about in our articles or in the magazines..But back to Joe…He just refused to listen to me and learn top muscle building advice. He’d be doing the craziest looking exercises that you’d ever see in the gym. I’d ask him where he got the idea to try it and he’s respond with…Flxl!!After time it started to wear me down. I just couldn’t have my workouts ruined. After all I was building muscle, getting stronger, getting more dates and just looked better. We stop training together and the thing that happened to Joe a few months later was just down right sad…….My Strict Selection Criteria…The truth is, I am friends with pretty much every “Who’s Who” in every corner of the training world. I had lots of choices and could get almost anybody to participate – but I had a very strict criteria: 1. Find experts that actually build physiques and succeed with their clients, not the guys that just talk about it in articles. You don’t want theory or hype but tried and true verifiable and validated muscle building success strategies. 2. No one making the bulk of their income from products. None of these people who write an article or ebook and “talk the talk but don’t walk the walk”. (That means they can’t be a “product pusher”.) 3. They had to be able to teach their methods in a practical, useable way.. (Some people are terrific speakers but they cannot convey their knowledge into concepts others can use and understand.) 4. Their methods have to work and you have to be able to take them to the gym today without being a “super geek”. (Plus, it couldn’t be something that worked only if you used “supplements”.)5. None of these experts could have unrealistic recommendations. You’ll hear none of this “do the leg press upside down for better size gains in the hamstring” nor will you hear a strength coach telling you that “bodybuilders and physique trainers are all juiced and there’s no advantage to doing isolation movements”. A lot of this hating is popular these days but you’ll find NONE of it here. 6. And finally no B.S. They couldn’t just blow smoke.
