Evan Schwarz – Street Drug Update

In this lecture, you will how the illicit substance abuse environment is constantly changing. Physicians need to be aware of the multiple possibilities, trends in use/abuse, and new toxicology information that may be applicable to their patient population.

Goals & Objectives:
·    Describe the current illicit drug economy and environment
·    Define important toxidromes that require specific therapies
·    Name new toxidromes that have been described in association with novel illicit drugs

Accreditation Statements:
The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. MAOPS designates this program for a maximum of .75 AOA Category 2-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation.

Grievance Policy:
