Errin L Weisman – A Coach Approach to Physician Well Being: Physician Life Coaching

In this lecture, Dr. Weisman discusses the use and benefits of Physician Life Coaching.

Learning Objectives:
1. Learn about physician life coaching, how it is being integrated, and why it is helpful.
2. How to start navigating the next phase of your personal and professional path.
3. Be able to identify key factors when making professional transitions.
4. Discuss current literature on collegial connections, how it is actually a protective factor against burnout, and hear examples of this type of community building happening since the death of the doctor’s lounge.

The Indiana Osteopathic Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of 0.75 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

It is the policy of the IOA that any physician dissatisfied with the CME program will be issued a refund upon request, and no CME credits will be reported to the AOA.  Complaints on Evaluation Forms also are taken into consideration when planning future CME programs and may lead to changes in the format or content.
