The tripod is usually taught to more advanced students.

However, Sifu Fernandez feels that the sooner these techniques are shown the better it will be for a student to concentrate on how to move himself around while maintaining posture and balance, and learning how to execute force in movement – key principals in being a good Wing Chun practitioner.

Too many people believe that Wing Chun is fixed and tends to stay on one line of attack; this, of course, is absolutely false.

Sifu Fernandez goes into details on the various methods on how to work the tripod system and how easy it is to build one in your own back garden.
