David Tannehill – COVID-19 for the Hospitalized Patient

Overview of the COVID19 pandemic, including a review of the epidemiology, pathophysiology, treatment, and management.

Learning Objectives:
• Describe the COVID-19 pandemic, both in terms of epidemiological importance, but also in terms of stress upon the healthcare system.
• Categorize COVID-19 patients in the low-risk vs. the high-risk.
• Interpret patient-level information in a way that focuses on evaluation and management on the most likely high-yield areas to improve outcomes.
