Coaching Rising – The Neuroscience of Change
Neuroscience fundamentally changes the way you coach
Coaching can bring about profound transformation. You know this.
There are those sessions when you see a client’s life change before your eyes. They break through the block that’s been limiting them for years, and you can see the glimmers of their true power. They tap into their own wisdom—wisdom you could see, but that was hidden from them.
But then there are those sessions where nothing seems to shift. No matter what you try—what angle you come from—it just doesn’t get into the core of the issue.
What’s the difference?
You may feel like you approached them with the same mindset, used the same basic principles, but something is fundamentally different. What is it?
Now, we are beginning to truly understand why.
Through decades of revolutionary research, neuroscience can tell us what happens in the brain and body when different coaching techniques are used.
These discoveries are transforming the practice of coaching. Neuroscience shows why a number of our “tried and true” methods fail. It shows us the ways we’re inadvertently sabotaging our own coaching work. It shows us how to guide our clients away from stress and closed-mindedness, and into positive learning states that allow genuine change to occur.
We know the immense benefits of this field of wisdom, and we know that by adding these tools to your practice, you can affect even more change in your clients and in the world.
So we’ve created an in-depth online training—the first of its kind—featuring the world’s top neuroscientific coaches and experts, who will show you how to work with your clients using this powerful body of knowledge.
This training will enable you to…
- Discover why some traditional coaching techniques actually inhibit change, and what we can do instead.
- Guide yourself into the neural state most conducive to deep intuition and clarity, so you can consistently create breakthrough sessions with your clients
- Equip your coaching toolbox with techniques validated by neuroscientific research, so you can create positive change in each person you work with
This knowledge can transform your coaching practice. In fact, implementing the principles of neuroscience has the potential to be as transformative for you as it is for your clients.
You’ll no longer wonder whether each session will bring about true change. Rather, you’ll have the humble confidence that you’re doing exactly what you need to do in order to open your clients to their deepest wisdom.

How the Neuroscience of Change training works
The Neuroscience of Change is a 17-week online coach training.
It’s designed to take you deep into the world of neuroscientific coaching, equipping you with powerful change technologies proven by research.
Each session is live, so you’ll have the opportunity to interact in real time with the esteemed faculty for the training. Of course, everything is recorded and downloadable, so you can watch on your own schedule, and come back to the material again and again for deeper learning.
Here’s how it works…
- The 16 core workshops are generally weekly, for 90 minutes on Zoom. They include a teaching lecture, followed by Q&A.
- And you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your learning with workbooks, transcripts, and 4 special integration workshops where we’ll use Zoom breakout groups for deep discussion and practice.
Like all our courses, The Neuroscience of Change is carefully designed to help you explore this powerful coaching methodology during an integrated learning journey.

Each workshop brings in new, critical skills that build on the previous material. Rather than a series of unconnected workshops that require you to knit them together yourself, this course will guide you through an integrated arc that builds on itself, teaching you the essential practice of neuroscientific coaching.
You’ll learn from global experts on neuroscientific coaching—people who will teach you the essential transformational practices, proven to work.
6 Bonus Recordings
And we’re including 6 full workshop recordings from previous programs featuring pioneering psychologist Rick Hanson, interpersonal neurobiologist Dan Siegel, neuroscientist and coach Alan Watkins, and others.
MODULE 1 The Fundamentals of Neuroscientific Coaching
with Amanda Blake, David Treleaven, and Alan Fogel
Module One explores how recent evidence in neurobiology points the coaching profession towards an increasingly whole-person approach, including body and mind. You’ll learn to deepen your own embodied self-awareness, while guiding your clients to do the same. We’ll explore the power of presence, the importance of the distributed brain, and how you can tune in to the myriad avenues of wisdom available to you in each moment.

MODULE 2 The Applied Practice of Neuroscientific Coaching
with Ann Betzand Amanda Blake
Module Two dives into the science of neuroplasticity, giving you insights into how the brain learns, remembers, and in the right environment, changes. You’ll learn how to use metaphor and your intuitive systems to help your clients access deep levels of their being. And you’ll get the chance to ask Ann and Amanda any bigger questions in a dedicated Q+A integration session.

with David Eagleman, Lisa Feldman Barrett, Deb Dana, Richard Boyatzis and Dilip Jeste
In the final module, you’ll hear from distinguished voices from a range of neuroscientific diciplines. We’ll connect you with cutting edge findings that change the way we understand change. You’ll learn how to befriend your own nervous system through polyvagal roadmaps. And you’ll explore powerful new understandings of both wisdom and the way emotions are made.
