Phoenix Children's Hospital
Cindy Salm Bauer, MD founded the Phoenix Children's Hospital Allergy and Immunology Clinic in 2013. She is an Assistant Professor at Mayo Clinic Arizona and Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Arizona College of Medicine. She is the Allergy and Immunology resident rotation director at Phoenix Children's Hospital as well as the site Director for the Mayo Clinic Arizona Allergy and Immunology Fellowship. Her areas of interest include food allergy, eosinophilic esophagitis, asthma, allergic diseases, and immunodeficiencies. She has authored multiple papers/abstracts and has a strong passion for teaching and research. She currently is involved in multiple NIH funded projects focused on pediatric asthma. In the community, Dr. Bauer is involved with Camp-Not-A-Wheeze, Arizona Allergy and Asthma Society, and the Arizona Asthma Coalition. She was voted a Top Doctor for pediatric Allergy and Immunology by her peers, as published in the Phoenix Magazine.
Outside of work, Dr. Bauer is married and has 2 children. She enjoys spending time with her family and therefore often visits her hometown in Wisconsin.
