Christopher Wolf – “Put Me In Coach!”: Concussions in Sports

This presentation is on the current pathophysiology and the evaluation and management of athletic-related traumatic brain injuries.

Learning Objectives:
1. Discuss the importance of proper diagnosis for head injury/concussion in athletes.
2. Review the basic pathology of brain injury and how this affects treatment.
3. Gain an understanding of the treatment course for the injured athlete.
4. Understand the proper protocol for return to play.

The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.
