Christian Mickelsen came from humble beginnings. He grew up on welfare in the outskirts of Chicago and witnessed his parents fight a lot. Most of the fighting was about money that caused endless fighting, some of which ended in slammed doors and dishes flung across the room.

This was quite a traumatic experience for a young child, but it instilled the desire in Christian to help people. He got into a pattern of helping because his mother used to come to him for comfort and advice. He wanted to help her all the time, and that desire spread to others.

But Christian realized his desire for peace and to take other people’s pain away was really his own quest to take his own pain away. So he started studying personal growth in earnest when he was 12 years old. He remembers reading The Great Gatsby for school and learning about how Jay Gatsy had written a list of things to work on to improve himself.

From that day forward, he became devoted to personal growth and hasn’t stopped since!

Christian discovered the power of coaching as a client. He was in a job he hated shortly after he graduated from college and was in a relationship that wasn’t working. He was also out of shape and had started a business that was going nowhere.

He then hired his first coach which helped him turn everything around. He got out of that job and was able to work full-time in his business. He also got out of that relationship that wasn’t working. He also got back into shape and started dating again.

He’s now the owner of a multi-million dollar coaching business that has made the Inc. 5000 fastest growing companies 4 years in a row. He’s also been featured in Forbes, Yahoo Finance, and MSN, among others.

Christian believes that coaching is the most powerful force for change on Earth. His mission is to get the whole world coached, and the best way to accomplish this mission is to help other coaches get clients and build successful coaching businesses.
