Although the online world has changed a great deal during the last decade, the basic principles of creating and setting up a quality affiliate website are basically the same. There are no shortcuts! With the outbreak of the Covid-19 Virus the world has changed, maybe forever. Many who thought they were in secure jobs for life are now unemployed. Even those still employed are worried about their future. At this uncertain time you simply can’t rely on anybody for employment, as nobody really knows what the future holds. Whilst many traditional industries struggled through the almost global lockdown, online retailers flourished. With the rapid growth of internet sales plus possibility of social distancing becoming the new normal, working online seems to be the sensible long term option. Today you can start to rebuild your future by generating passive income streams online.

Just over ten years ago I was fighting a losing battle running a computer hardware business. Rapidly falling margins and increased competition from high street stores, online retailers and local businesses pushed my working daily hours up to an unacceptable level, which in turn put a great strain not only on myself, but on my relationship with my wife and children. As I was in my early forties, I knew things had to change before I burnt myself out going nowhere.

From personal experience I can tell you that it is not easy making a career change, especially for someone in their 40s. I can also tell you, with complete honesty, that taking the plunge to train myself to become an online affiliate was the best decision I have ever made in my life. In my experience, however, it was far from easy to convert the hours upon hours I dedicated each week into actual financial rewards. I wasted over a year putting far too much trust and faith into so-called proven techniques and systems, which were clearly designed to make money for the author, rather than for the sad buyers, myself included.

After just a few years working as an online affiliate, as I started to write my first book, “Building An Online Cash Cow”, my family and I ditched the grey skies of the UK to start a new life in Spain. My wife is now happily retired and I only work during the mornings, which gives us the rest of the day to actually live. How times have changed! Taking the plunge to make a major career change, venturing into the world of online affiliate marketing, has indeed proved to be the best decision I ever made.
