Learning Objectives:
- Define the various should enthesopathies including rotator cuff tendinopathy, bicipital tendinopathy, shoulder bursitis, should impingement, glenoid labral tears, and adhesive capsulitis.
- Explain the pathophysiology including the etiology epidemiology and the risk factors of the various shoulder enthesopathies.
- Discuss the clinical manifestations and the physical examination finding of the various should enthesopathies.
- Describe and administer the osteopathic manipulative treatment approach to the management of should enthesopathies and discuss the treatment goals of the various types of techniques.

Brent Dixon, DO, is an assistant professor at A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM). Dr. Dixon is board certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine & Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. He earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine from ATSU-KCOM, and he completed NMM residency at Northeast Regional Medical Center.
