This workshop is an introductory presentation about how our daily mental activity turns on the activity-dependent gene expression and protein synthesis cycle to construct and reconstruct the neural networks of our brain. We will experience the four-stage creative process of art, science and psychotherapy during a group induction of therapeutic hypnosis.
Educational Objectives:
- To list three classes of human experience that could facilitate gene expression, brain plasticity and mind-body healing.
- To describe the practical application of implicit processing heuristics (permissive suggestion) in therapeutic hypnosis, psychotherapy and rehabilitation.

Ernest L. Rossi, PhD, is an internationally renowned therapist, teacher and pioneer in the psychobiology of mind-body healing. Rossi has also edited four volumes of Erickson's Collected Papers and four volumes of Erickson's Seminars, Workshops and Lectures. He has been conducting research in the psychosocial genomics of ultradian rhythms and their relation to mind-body healing and psychotherapy for over three decades.
