Karen Snider – Osteopathic Approach to Tension Headaches

Learning Objectives:

• Define and discuss diagnostic criteria for tension headaches
• Explain the pathophysiology, including the etiology, epidemiology, and risk factors of tension headaches
• Discuss the clinical manifestations and the physical examination findings of tension headaches
• Describe and administer the osteopathic manipulative treatment approach to the management of tension headaches and discuss the treatment goals of the various types of techniques 
• Identify measures to prevent the occurrence and recurrence of tension headaches

Accreditation Statements:
The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of 1.25 AOA Category 1-A Credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.
